Living “In-Sync” – A Personal Perspective on Synchronicity
Presentation: In this talk Dr. Nachman will share numerous examples of the key role that synchronicities have played in her life and her views regarding the various explanations that have been posited to explain these amazing experiences, from the perspective of someone who has studied nonlocal aspects of consciousness for over 20 years. Her presentation will end with a discussion of synchronicity in the broader context of nonlocal experiences, and the important message they bring regarding our true nature and capabilities. It is hoped that members of the audience will also participate in sharing their own synchronicity experiences and ideas.
Bio: Ginette Nachman, MD PhD has been speaking and writing about synchronicity (meaningful coincidence) for many years. In 2011 she was (synchronously, of course) invited to participate in the “Synchro Summit”, an international meeting held at Yale University to explore this amazing phenomenon. Her interest in this area stems from years of paying attention to remarkable synchronicities in her own life. Synchronicities are a wonderful reminder that we are never truly alone but live in an interconnected universe where the miraculous can manifest. She holds doctorates in medicine and clinical psychology. Dr. Nachman has a longstanding interest in helping to educate health care and mental health professionals regarding non-local aspects of consciousness and clinical approaches to exceptional experiences. She contributed a paper to the May 2009 issue of Psychiatric Annals dealing with clinical aspects of psi and synchronicity experiences. She has served as a Board Member and Director of Education for the Rhine Research Center, where she is currently a Research Associate. She is also Director of Research for the International Association for Near Death Studies. Ginette gives a yearly presentation at the UNC Medical School on the Science Behind Nonlocal Healing
